Health Care in Danger
The Red Cross needed to show the violence faced by health workers in conflict without photographing real victims. A war photographer staged the scenes he had witnessed, built to be accurate with an ICRC field surgeon on set.
“I wanted to support this ICRC campaign that highlights the difficulties of health workers in conflict areas, and the problems in giving aid to people caught up in wars. These health workers should always be left to do their work.”
