Media & Broadcast Photography

Unit stills and publicity for broadcasters and production companies.

Broadcast stills are made around a film crew rather than instead of one: the schedule belongs to the shoot, and the photographer has to work inside it without costing it a minute. We place stills photographers alongside productions already on the ground, and handle the access, travel and safety planning that reaching them takes.

Frequently asked

How does a stills photographer work around a film crew's schedule?
The schedule belongs to the film crew, and the photographer has to work inside it without costing it a minute. That makes it a casting decision as much as a logistical one. For Discovery we chose a photographer whose multiple passports cleared the border crossings, chartered a plane into one of the remotest parts of western Zambia, and planned the safety and access around a crew already at work.
Do you cover unit stills and publicity photography?
Yes. For Sky we shot unit stills solo at the Philadelphia Eagles' pre-season camp, working the moments between filming for press and publicity use.
