Consumer & Lifestyle Photography
Photography for consumer, retail and lifestyle brands.
Consumer work has to look like life rather than a set-up, which is harder than it looks: the moment still has to be cast, permitted, lit and crewed, then hide all four. We produce lifestyle campaigns end to end, from scouting and casting through to permits and post, so what lands on the poster reads as something that simply happened.
Frequently asked
- Can one shoot cover both out-of-home and in-store media?
- Yes, and for a consumer brand it is usually the cheapest route to a full media plan. For Holland & Barrett we produced five scenarios across four London locations once, two of them combined on a single site to hold the budget. The photography ran as posters and street furniture, the film in store and in the windows.
- Do you use casting, or real people?
- Both, and consumer work often needs the two answers in the same brief. For Carrier Travel everything was cast, dressed and crewed to look unstaged, five destinations recreated inside the UK in four days. For Ford there was no cast at all: a photojournalist documented the people across Europe who live with one, and we ran the logistics that reached each of them, wherever the fan call-out went.
